Our Treatment Process

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine(AASM) recommends oral appliances such as EMA as the front line treatment for mild to moderate sleep apnea and snoring, and in cases where CPAP is not tolerated.

These comfortable sleep apnea oral appliances are custom-made to fit your mouth. A mandibular repositioning device fits over the upper and lower teeth and positions the jaws and tongue forward while you sleep to prevent tissue in the back of the throat from collapsing. This dental device can keep airways open throughout the night, which can treat sleep apnea and eliminate snoring.

To know if you are a good candidate for oral appliance therapy you will need to schedule an evaluation. For patients who are current CPAP therapy users and still experience symptoms, oral appliance therapy and be combined with CPAP which can drastically improve their symptoms and achieve better sleep.
